Cook resigns from Stallions football

Madera South High School will be looking for a new head coach for the 2017 season. Athletics director Andrea Devine has announced the resignation of football coach Dane Cook.

Cook finishes his three-year coaching stint with an 11-24 (.314 winning percentage) overall record and was 2-13 in the County/Metro Athletic Conference.

Devine has already posted the job opening on the district’s website and has made contact with potential coaches.

Cook’s Stallions advanced to the quarterfinals of the Div. IV playoffs in two of his three years. He also led the Stallions to their first back-to-back victories in the Stadium Road Showdown over Madera.
