As the holidays approach, the Madera Post Office, 201 South D Street, has announced extended hours.
“For the convenience of the public, the last two Saturdays before Christmas, Dec. 17th and 24th we will have staff on site 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for package pick-up,” said Postmaster Henry M. de la Torre. “The courtesy door will be open for notices of package pickups.”
Additionally, the public may purchase stamps or mail USPS priority mail packages with the use of credit or debit card transactions only.
“It’s my desired outcome that the community will be better served through these extended hours during the holiday season,” de la Torre said.
