Sierra Gonzalez

October 8, 2016

“I really enjoyed myself this past year in all my 4-H projects,” said Sierra Gonzalez of Sierra Shadows 4-H.

“First, I got gold for both of my photographs that I entered in the state competition.”

Then, she said, her public speaking demonstration received gold at county, regionals, and state.

“I was really hoping to get the state platinum, but I was shy by a couple of points. Next time, I will try to add a bit more humor into my demonstration, hoping to get that platinum recognition.

“Then, I medaled up from level two to level three in horse project.

“This year, I am adding community pride, sewing, poultry and preserves to my projects. I have been an officer for two years and really enjoy being a leader with our club and out in the community.
