MNLL falls in 9-10 championship game

Like its 11-12-year-old counterparts, the Madera National 9-10-year-old All-Star team lost the first game of the District 10 tournament, but proceeded to win five straight games before falling to Reedley in the title game.

Madera National manager Brent Whitman said his team simply ran out of pitching to compete with Reedley, who won four straight games by an average of more than seven runs a game (47-12).

Reedley scored six runs each in two innings to record the victory Thursday.
