Coyotes get win on Sr. Night

FRESNO — For the first time in Madera Coyote baseball history, its Senior Night game wasn’t played in Madera.

Because Mother Nature forced the Coyotes to play home games on the road last month, the Coyotes traveled to Fresno to battle Madera South at Fresno City College’s Euless Park for Senior Night.

Coyote head coach Andy Underwood, along with assistants Chad Rothford and Gary Moran, are all FCC baseball alumni under former Madera Coyote baseball coach Ron Scott.

“For me, this is home,” Underwood said. “I love this place. If I can coach here someday. I respect this place. I had the two most fun years of my life playing baseball here. In spite of all the negatives that has happened this season, this was positive tonight.” ...
