Tires and rims were on the shopping list

Last week, Madera PD investigated two thefts at the 99 Eagle Tires and Wheels shop East Almond Avenue.

Approximately $1,100 in tires and rims were stolen from the shop, followed by a break-in at a locked trailer belonging to the business right next door, 99 CENT & MORE.

Officer Gaige Bonderer took the lead on the investigation using surveillance footage and good old-fashioned police work to identify 50-year-old Jeremy Williams and 40-year-old Humberto Arroyo as the involved suspects.

A subsequent parole search led officers to Williams and Arroyo, along with two stolen tires and four stolen rims. Both suspects admitted to participating in the crimes prior to being booked into the Madera County Jail for burglary, conspiracy, and theft-related charges.
