Torres upset bid falls on Sr. Night to Sunnyside

The Matilda Torres Toros had a chance to send out its seniors with a win last week against the Sunnyside Wildcats, but the Wildcats scored a late touchdown for a 33-27 victory at Toro Stadium.

Jordan Garcia caught a 21-yard touchdown pass from Nathaniel Pichardo to score a game-tying touchdown late in the fourth quarter against Sunnyside. However, the Wildcats countered with a 37-yard touchdown run for the win.

Angelo Adame rushed for 138 yards on 17 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns. Garcia and Jayden Corona caught touchdown passes.
