Toros dominate second half for first win

Both the Matilda Torres Toros and Kerman Lions’ football teams looked locked in for a battle heading into halftime with a 14-6 Torres lead.
However, the second half was all Toros as they scored 21 unanswered points for a 42-13 non-conference victory in their home opener at Madera South on Friday.
The Toros’ top three rushers dominated the line of scrimmage. Amani Sua averaged almost 10 yards per carry to lead the team. He had 148 yards on 15 carries with two touchdowns. Joseph Bass rushed seven times for 30 yards. Quarterback Jose Soriano rushed for 60 yards on seven carries with a touchdown.
