After a COVID-forced hiatus, the Madera Rotary Club brought back its annual Halloween Ball at Hatfield Hall at the Madera Fairgrounds. Clever costumes were donned by adults outshining any of the trick-or-treater squads ever to hit the streets.

The spooky decor represented hundreds of hours of volunteer work provided by Madera Rotary Club President Jane Winning and members. Lights hanging from the ceilings and spookily decorated tables turned the well-loved banquet facility into a veritable good-natured Hall of Horrors.

The entry hall, orchestrated by D. Lynn and Don Collete, was enough to send shivers through all who walked through it on October 22.

An automated photo booth called “getsnapped” sent pictures of the partygoers by email to the mobile devices of the subjects. Singles, couples and group costumes made for an eerie collection of revelers.
