Opinion: Playing with words

I enjoy playing with words. Of all the apps on the Internet, “Dictionary” must be my favorite. I don’t always know how a new word is pronounced. But the way it’s spelled and its various meanings captivate me.

At a Fresno City College psychology class in my youth, my professor divided his class in half and taught his lessons “encounter group” style. So, for three hours a week, we sat on the floor in a circle and discussed what was happening in our lives related to the course material. Does that sound fun? Sometimes it was.

Other times not so much as we were invited into a classmate’s psyche while they revealed their inner demons.
