Shirley Ann Belflower (Denson), age 86, was with family when she passed to her Heavenly home on Aug. 15, 2024, in Fresno, CA. She was the second of three children of James and Ruth (Glenn) Denson. She was born in Madera, CA, on Nov. 29, 1937. Raised and educated in Madera, she was a 1955 graduate of Madera High School. She had been residing in Fresno since 1986. Shirley had a love of adventure, travel, and history, and had a kind and caring heart. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Hogue (Thomas) of Sacramento and Jennifer Thomas of Fresno; granddaughter, Emily Thomas; grandsons, Robert Aguilar and Brian Meeks; and three great-grandchildren, Michael, Helen, and Jonathan. She was predeceased by her father, mother, an older brother, James Denson (Jr.), and a younger brother Larry Denson.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Arbor Vitae Cemetery, 1301 Roberts Avenue, Madera, California, on Tuesday, September 24, at 1 p.m.
