New Madera Chief of Police Gino Chiaramonte gets his badge pinned on by his son, Giovanni, while his wife, Shannon and daughter, Gianna, look on during a promotion ceremony Tuesday evening at Madera Avenue Bible Church.

The Madera Police Department hosted a Swearing-in Ceremony for new Chief of Police Giachino (Gino) Chiaramonte at Madera Avenue Bible Church earlier this week.

The ceremony began with a welcome from Lieutenant Alicia Videgain, who thanked the church for allowing them to host the event, and introduced the Chaplain and Pastor of the church, Mike Unger, who gave the opening prayer. Priscilla Huerta sang the National Anthem.

Madera Police Department Commander Josiah Arnold recognized the dignitaries attending the ceremony, as each stood to be recognized.
