Madera National’s Solomon Reyes throws a pitch in Friday’s win over Sunnyside. He helped contribute to a combined no-hitter. Reyes picked up the win in two innings of work with four strikeouts.Â
The Madera National Little League 10-12-year-old All-Star team scored nine run in the fourth inning and cruised to a 10-0 victory over Sunnyside in the District 10 opening game.Â
While the offense exploded in the fourth, the pitching staff was doing its job. Three pitchers allowed just three base runners in a four-inning combined no-hitter.Â
Julian Rios walked two in the first inning, but struck out two. Solomon Reyes was efficient, going two innings with four strikeouts to earn the win. Michael Lopez closed the game with two strikeouts.
