More than 150 people gather at the Madera Municipal Golf Course banquet room for the Madera County Women’s Network Luncheon on Friday.

More than 150 people filled up the Madera Municipal Golf Course banquet room for the first Madera County Women’s Network Luncheon on Friday to kick off Women’s History Month.

“I can feel the energy in this room. This was something needed in the community,” said Madera County Women’s Network founder and Madera County Supervisor Leticia Gonzalez. “I would like to thank the committee that put this together, led by Karla Estupinian. This event would not have been possible without her hard work, sweat and tears.”

As guests entered the banquet room, they were given a bingo card that had them interacting with others in the room. Subjects for the bingo card included: someone with an Android phone, someone who drives a red car, someone who is a night owl, someone who is the oldest brother or sister, among others.
