Eddie Murphy, Madera High School’s Homecoming Grand Marshal.
Madera High is pleased to announce the 2025 Grand Marshal, Eddie Murphy.
Murphy was the second in his family of 10 in Riverouge, and raised in Detroit, Michigan, where he attended Southwestern High School making history by leading the basketball team to its first-ever state Championship in 1973.
A multi-sport athlete, he sharpened his skills on championship basketball and baseball teams, pitching on varsity and running point on the hardwood before heading west to continue both his education and love of sports as proud Prospector alumnus in 1974.
