The Madera FFA chapter hosted its 2nd annual Welding Fabrication contest at Madera South High School on Friday.

More than 25 teams from across California came to compete in the contest. Madera FFA fielded three teams and two of the teams placed in the top five.

This year, the contest’s project was to build a cart of their choice that will fill a need for their school, ag department, or community. Each team consisted of 2-4 members who work together to build a project that falls into the parameters and guidelines of the contest.
