That was the theme of this year’s Juneteenth Celebration held in front of the Madera County Museum to celebrate the freedom of slaves in Texas after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed into law.
Black Saints United and the City of Madera presented the third annual event Monday that was attended by a standing-room only crowd.
