Madera Babe Ruth 15s captures second straight state title

The Madera Babe Ruth 15-year-old All-Star team shows off the plaques and banner they received after capturing the Central California State Babe Ruth Tournament. The team will next play July 23 in Woodland in the Pacific Southwest Regionals. Last year, the Madera Babe Ruth 14-year-old All-Star team won the Central California Babe Ruth Tournament.

This year, as an encore, the 15-year-old All-Star team went undefeated to capture its second straight state championship.

“It’s pretty much the same team,” manager Frank Borges said.
