The California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA) proudly joins communities across the state in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week, May 4-8; National Teacher Day on May 5; and California Day of the Teacher on Wednesday May 13.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all educators for their tireless work, creativity, and unwavering commitment to educating future generations. Today and everyday, we thank them for the lasting difference they make in the lives of countless students.
Division 79, the local CalRTA chapter, reaches out to all Madera County public schools and teachers. We contact all 75-plus schools, which include approximately 1,700 teachers, to say thank you with a chance for a gift card in the fall and a little token of thanks in the spring. We so appreciate our educators. They help prepare the students of today to be the leaders of the future.
