How are you today?

Veterans’ Voices is directed toward veterans and their families who have given so much to ensure our freedom in this country. This is an area where you may share your experiences, or read of other veterans’ experiences. We thank you for your service, and hope that you know how much you are loved and appreciated.

I was in the Doctors office a few days ago.

There were four of us sitting there in the waiting room. Probably most of us were in there waiting for our spouse.

I was looking around at the different people sitting there pretending to read a magazine; I was doing the same thing — pretending to read and, every once in a while, glancing around the room.

I was thinking what I was missing out on. I could be doing some of my projects at home or go to the hardware store to pick up that garden hose to replace the one that leaks in my front yard. There were two veterans in there, also. I could tell that because one of them was wearing a veteran hat and the other one was dressed in fatigues. Nobody saying a word.
