Liberty’s Henry Bilskey turns the corner during a run in Friday’s 41-20 victory over Riverdale. Bilskey led all rushers with 149 yards and two touchdowns.
It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but the Liberty Hawks football team will take it after a 41-20 victory last week to keep them undefeated heading into the season finale against Chowchilla on Friday.
With the win, the Hawks assured them of at least a share of the Northwest Sequoia Conference championship with Senior Night on Halloween.
For the sixth time this season (out of nine games), the Hawks amassed more than 300 yards rushing with 356 yards. Two ball carriers gained more than 140 yard rushing and the Hawks scored a touchdown on all six of their drives with the final drive ending the game.
