Liberty’s Brody Harlow celebrates after he scored the game-winning touchdown in Friday’s overtime victory over Chavez. Caden Moore comes in to celebrate with Harlow.

For the second week in a row, the Liberty Hawks survived and advanced, this time walking off with a 34-31 victory Friday over the Cesar Chavez Titans in the Div. V Central Section quarterfinal playoff game.

After Chavez scored the game-tying touchdown with 19 seconds left in the game, and hit a field goal in the first overtime, it took the Hawks just two plays to walk it off.

Quarterback Noah Bonilla hit Brody Harlow on a slant pass at about the seven-yard line. Harlow broke tackles from half of the Chavez defense before falling into the end zone for the walk-off winner to send the Hawks to the Div. V semifinals
