Fireworks Spectacular a hit

The City of Madera Fireworks Spectacular was indeed a spectacular event for the community of Madera, California.

On the 4th of July, the Madera District Fairgrounds was filled with families celebrating and enjoying food from the many available food trucks at the event, and half-hour of anticipated fireworks.

The community is hopeful this will be an annual event. It was made possible by many who contributed money and efforts over the past two years. Rohi Zacharia, president of the Greater Madera Kiwanis Club, worked diligently last year to make this event happen, but a very short time before the event was to happen in 2022, the plans fell through, due to problems with the State Fire Marshall and the fireworks vendor’s permits. This year, partnering with Kiwanis, the City of Madera, Madera County, Rotary, Lions Club, and The Madera Tribune, a different fireworks vendor was contracted, and the fireworks display happened.
