There are different kinds of families. As defined in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the word “family” has many meanings. Look it up. Some of the definitions may surprise you.
You have heard me say that I make families wherever I am. I have my neighborhood family, my church family, my Tribune family, my Friends of the Library family, my Rotary family, my P.E.O. sisters, and my family of aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, parents, husband, and siblings. All of these are loving families to me, and I appreciate each group very much. If you are wondering about any of them and what they are, just ask me. I will be happy to fill you in on who any of these people are in my life.
Today, I want to share with you a few things about my “family” family. I hesitate to call them my blood family, as not all of them are “blood” related, but all are heart related.
