The Madera Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with the Madera branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, brought together incumbent Madera County District 3 Supervisor Robert Poythress and his challenger current City Councilwoman Cece Gallegos in a public forum held at the Madera Municipal Golf Course last week.

Both candidates, who are experienced in local government, began their opening statements describing their personal history serving in Madera, what they felt were their greatest achievements, and what they will bring to the table if (re-) elected.

Incumbent Robert Poythress is seeking his third term serving on the County Board of Supervisors. He has held the position since winning the seat in 2016.
