Crossroads Christian celebrates community services week

For The Madera Tribune

Students of the Crossroads Christian’s fifth grade class gathers after putting together almost 200 blessing bags to homeless in the Madera and Fresno area.

This year, at Crossroads Christian School, many of the students and faculty have been serving the Madera community in many different ways.

In October and November, the fourth and fifth graders made fleece blankets and collected toys for the Madera Rescue Mission’s annual Christmas Toy Drive. Both classes were able to make 16 blankets and collect many toys for the drive.

In February, CCS held its annual Community Service Week. This week is dedicated to talking to the students about the importance of serving the community and to putting it into action.
