Coyotes strike early for second victory

By the time the first half was over, the Madera Coyotes football team had the game in hand, but scored 20 more points in the third quarter for a 49-24 victory over the Selma Bears.


The Coyotes scored 15 points in the first quarter, 14 in the second and 20 more in the third to put the game away early.


The Bears scored a second quarter touchdown, and scored three more in garbage time in the fourth quarter while the Coyotes were cruising to their second win of the season Friday in Memorial Stadium.
