The Madera Coyotes football team celebrate underneath the scoreboard on Lee DaSilva Field after a 28-27 victory over Matilda Torres on Friday.
As the Matilda Torres Toros football team was trying to run out the clock with a 27-21 lead, Zach Prince stripped the ball away and recovered a fumble to give the Madera Coyotes life.
Prince finished off the ensuing drive with the game-tying touchdown, and Andy Berry hit the extra point for a 28-27 lead.
However, the Madera faithful had to wait out the final seconds when Jose Soriano hit Joseph Bass for a 38-yard gain to put the ball at the 13-yard line.
