After winning an intense, five-set volleyball match with crosstown rivals Madera South, the Madera Coyotes couldn’t muster enough during a four-set loss to the Yosemite Badgers in Joe Flores Gym.

Less than 24 hours after defeating the Stallions, the Coyotes took the Joe Flores Gym court against the Badgers. Madera won the first set, but ran into trouble in the next three (25-14, 25-18, 25-18) in a non-conference loss.

After recording 49 kills the night before, the Coyotes put down 28 kills in four sets against Yosemite with no one in double-figures. Jazmin Rodriguez and Aliyah Garcia led the Coyotes with six. Rodriguez did her damage in the first two sets before she missed the final two with an injury.
