Chowchilla’s Talley to play in LPGA event

LOS ANGELES — The top two-ranked players in the Rolex AJGA Girls Rankings — Aphrodite Deng (1) and Chowchilla’s Asterisk Talley (2) — have accepted sponsor invitations to tee it up against the world’s best professional golfers on the LPGA Tour at the JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro, April 13-19 at El Caballero Country Club in Los Angeles.

Talley, 17, will make her second consecutive appearance at the JM Eagle LA Championship as a sponsor invitation. 

The 2nd ranked junior golfer in the AJGA girls rankings and No. 11 in the Women’s World Amateur Golf Rankings, Talley captured the Junior Invitational at Sage Valley title by three shots at 8-under par on Saturday, becoming the first repeat winner in the girls division of the championship.
