Black Saints United will host its fifth Juneteenth Celebration on Thursday at the Madera County Courthouse to celebrate the 160th year of the Emancipation Proclamation.
The Celebration will begin at 10 a.m. and Black Saints United’s Anita Evans expects about 150 people to attend.
“I’m setting up for that many people,” Evans said. “People are knowing more and more about this event.”
