Arrests in burglary made

Madera Police Department sets up in the Boot Barn parking lot while searching for a suspected shoplifter, whom they apprehended a short distance away.
Friday night MPD officers were busy responding to various calls, including shoplifting and a burglary in progress at different locations.
Officers responded to the area of Boot Barn for a suspect, identified as Margarita Munoz, who fled the store with stolen jeans. She was apprehended a short distance away, and booked into Madera County Jail on several charges.
Later in the night, Officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 1100 block of Country Club Dr. Officers were able to set up around the business in time for the suspect to exit and be apprehended.
