Clerk-Recorder issues dates for candidate filing for March 3, 2020, Presidential Primary Election
Madera County Clerk-Recorder Rebecca Martinez has announced that a Consolidated Presidential Primary Election will be held Tuesday, March 3, 2020.
The following local partisan offices are scheduled to appear on that ballot:
Local partisan office
Member, Democratic County Central Committees — 22 Members (Party Nominated)
Member, Republican County Central Committee — 22 Members (Party Nominated)
The following are the filing periods associated with becoming a candidate at that election:
Sept. 27, 2019, to Dec. 6, 2019, Nomination & Declaration of Candidacy Period — All Candidates
Dec. 7, 2019* to Dec.11, 2019, Extended Nomination and Declaration of Candidacy Period
(Extends only if Incumbent fails to file by deadline. Does not apply to office for which there is no Incumbent, * indicates date falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or Holiday. Filing date moves to next business day.)
Interested candidates must obtain and file the required documentation to run for office from the County Clerk-Recorder, located at 200 W 4th Street, Madera, California. The County Clerk-Recorder will issue and file documents during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, during each of the filing periods listed above.
