Final chance for Little League registration

The Madera National Litttle League’s softball division has two more sign-ups left, including two more player assessments.

The MNLL will host registration today and Feb. 9 at Town and Country Park’s Field 7 from 1-3 p.m. The league will also host a player assessment today and Feb. 9, also from 1-3 p.m. Seven-and-eight-year-olds work out at 1 p.m.; 9-10-year olds work out at 2 p.m.; and 11-12-year-olds work out at 3 p.m.

Cost for the league is $120 per player, which includes a $40 fundraising requirement.

Online registration is available at MaderaNational.com. An original birth certificate is needed along with a school form (found on the MNLL website) or proof of residency. For information, contact Kris Gamiz at 718-1515.

The Madera Coyotes softball team will host a skills clinic before the final assessment date.

The team will host a skills camp Feb. 8 from 5-8:30 p.m. at Zimmerman Field. The cost is $30 per player. Players will be coached by Coyote softball coaches and players. Coaches are also welcome to attend. For information, contact Melissa Amriento-van Loon at melissaarmiento@maderausd.org. Baseball will also hold its final registration and tryout today at Field 1.

Rain out date for baseball will be Tuesday and softball will be Feb. 16.

The Madera American Little League will hosts its final tryout and registration today at Town and Country Park.

The cost is $175, which includes the late fee and fundraising requirements.
