Law enforcement agencies throughout Madera County will participate in the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics on Tuesday, June 12. The runners hope to raise awareness and funds for the Special Olympics movement.

This year’s opening ceremonies will begin at 7 a.m. at Courthouse Park in Madera.

The route will be completed by runners representing various law enforcement agencies in Madera County.

The first leg will begin at Courthouse Park at 7:30 a.m., and the final leg of the run will conclude at Veteran’s Park in Chowchilla around 10:30 a.m.

There will be an interactive vehicle display for the public at Veteran’s Park from 10:30 to noon.

The Madera County Guardians of the Flame invite the citizens of Madera County to join them as they carry the Flame of Hope from Madera to Chowchilla.
