Martinez, Stassi spur Fresno to 9-2 win over Sacramento

WEST SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) -- Max Stassi homered and had two hits, and David Martinez allowed just six hits over seven innings as the Fresno Grizzlies beat the Sacramento River Cats 9-2 on Thursday.

Martinez (3-6) picked up the win after he struck out three and walked one while allowing one run.

Fresno had a big four-run fifth inning in the blowout victory. Tony Kemp scored on a forceout en route to the four-run lead.

Chris Stratton (1-4) went 4 1/3 innings, allowing five runs and five hits in the Pacific Coast League game. He also struck out three and walked three.
