Deadline for Christmas parade soon

The registration deadline for entries in the 2016 Candlelight Christmas Parade in Downtown Madera is getting closer.

Participants in the parade, to be held Dec. 1, are encouraged to register by Nov. 18, when the registration fee is $45. Any registrations after this time will cost $55, and no entries will be accepted after 5 p.m., Nov. 25.

To stay within time constraints, the parade is limited to 50 entries. Every entry is to have a minimum of 100 lights, and children’s electric and pedal vehicles will have a minimum of 30 lights.
