Stassi's double leads Fresno to 5-2 win over Sacramento

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Max Stassi hit a two-run double in the seventh inning, leading the Fresno Grizzlies to a 5-2 win over the Sacramento River Cats on Wednesday.

The double by Stassi capped a three-run inning and gave the Grizzlies a 4-2 lead after Andrew Aplin hit an RBI single earlier in the inning.

The Grizzlies tacked on another run in the eighth when Colin Moran hit an RBI single, driving in Preston Tucker.

Brendan McCurry (1-0) got the win with two innings of scoreless relief while Sacramento starter Clayton Blackburn (5-7) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game. James Hoyt retired the side in order for his 22nd save of the season.

Fresno improved to 6-1 against Sacramento this season.
