Susac's run leads Sacramento to 6-4 win over Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. (AP) -- Andrew Susac scored on a forceout in the eighth inning, leading the Sacramento River Cats to a 6-4 win over the Fresno Grizzlies on Tuesday.

Jean Machi allowed a run, but got Alex Bregman to hit into a forceout with a runner on first to end the game for his second save of the season.

The run by Susac, part of a three-run inning, gave the River Cats a 4-3 lead before Rando Moreno hit a two-run triple later in the inning.

In the bottom of the ninth, Fresno cut into the lead on a single by Tony Kemp that scored Nolan Fontana.

Steven Okert (4-2) got the win with two innings of scoreless relief while Kevin Chapman (2-4) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game.

In the losing effort, the Grizzlies recorded a season-high six doubles. For the Grizzlies, Kemp singled twice, scoring two runs.

Despite the loss, Fresno is 5-1 against Sacramento this season.
