FRESNO, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a 92-year-old man survived a 60-foot fall down an embankment in Northern California.

Madera County Sheriff's Lt. Bill Ward says the man was hiking down a steep canyon slope in Madera County on Monday when he fell.

Ward says the man was taken by helicopter to a nearby hospital with a broken arm. He says two other people were rescued but unharmed.
