Spring pop-ups everywhere
Until about a year ago, I thought a pop-up was just an annoying screen that appears on my computer when I try to view something I have searched on Google. Pop-ups were also those children’s books that have cutouts that rise up when I turn a page. Any device or part of a device that has a component that pops up (like a Jack in the Box), might also be called a pop-up. Now, we have a new definition for a pop-up. I haven’t been able to find this definition in the dictionary yet,

Madera Unified hosts Battle of the Books
For The Madera Tribune Students from 14 Madera Unified elementary schools were represented in the first district-wide literacy competition, Battle of the Books. Madera’s AAUW re-starts 5K run
In 2014, the Madera Branch of American Association of University Women had their first 5K fun run. It was held at Lions Town and Country Park and then moved to Cedar Creek in 2015. This year’s race will be held at Cedar Creek on Saturday, at 8 a.m., with registration at 7 a.m. The money raised in this event helps fund local scholarships for high school graduates.
