Three wind-blown fly balls fell to the ground and so did the Madera South Stallion baseball team’s hope for another run to the Valley Championship game.
The No. 11 seeded Stallions committed six errors and the No. 3 seeded Lemoore Tigers scored five unearned runs in a 9-7 victory Thursday in the Division III quarterfinal game at Lemoore to end the Stallions’ season.
“The winds made it look like Candlestick Park out there today,” assistant coach Mark Lohuis said.
