DINUBA — Turnover was the name of the game in Madera’s season opening loss to the Dinuba Emperors at Claud Herbert Field.
The Coyotes committed two first-quarter turnovers that thwarted drives deep in Dinuba territory. Two fourth-quarter turnovers helped Dinuba score 21 points in a 5 1/2 minute span for a 42-26 victory Friday night.
“Obviously they were a key factor in the game,” Madera head coach Scott McKinney said. “This early, we both have young teams and mistakes happen.”
