The Thomas Jefferson Middle School Patriots eighth grade football team completed an undefeated season Saturday with 28-6 drubbing of the Tenaya-Fresno Braves at the Central California Bowl at Central’s Deran Koligian Stadium.

Brandon Mora, who has been the main ball carrier for the Patriots, scored two rushing touchdowns and returned a kickoff for another touchdown in the championship game.

Patriots head coach Dane Cook pointed out the play of his offensive line, who played well all season and were led by Josiah Morales and Anthony Gonzales. Cameron Cantu played well at left tackle before breaking his collarbone and Jaeden Rey filled in without a misstep. 

The Braves went into the championship game averaging 37 points per game, but were shut out by the Patriots defense...
