After losing to the two-time defending North Yosemite League champion in its previous game, the Madera boys basketball team may have just faced the new favorite and challenger for that league title.
The Coyotes, who were coming off a 54-28 loss to the Hoover-Fresno Patriots last Friday, had trouble stopping a quick and athletic Sunnyside-Fresno team Wednesday night in a 71-43 loss at Joe Flores Gym.
Madera was will host another NYL team tonight when it faces Reedley at 7 p.m.
