In its final game of the Active 20/30 Madera South Classic, the Stallion boys basketball team ended the tournament on a high note.
After dropping their first two games of the tournament, the Stallions rebounded Saturday with a 44-28 win over former North Yosemite League opponent Fresno at Madera South High’s West Gym to close out the four-day tourney.
The Stallions (3-4) were led offensively by all-tourney senior player Adriano Coronado along with Josh Johnson and Marcos Garcia as all three combined to score 30 of Madera South’s 44 points with 10 apiece.
Madera South’s tourney losses were to reigning Central Section Division II champion San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno, which claimed the classic with a 4-0 record, and Chowchilla. The Redskins also won all four of their games in the tournament but lost the points given up tie-breaker with SJM...
