After playing five games in the Kerman Easter Softball Classic, the reviews were mixed for the Madera South softball team.
The Stallions finished 2-3 in the three-day tournament, which included a tough 6-2 last-inning loss to Coalinga on Tuesday in the final game.
“It was a really nice tournament and there were some good things we did out there,” Madera South head coach Peter Gallegos said. “We also learned that we have to be able to finish innings and not let up at all. Teams in these tournaments and in our (County/Metro Athletic Conference) league play all the way until the end, so we learned that we have to finish games.”
