Though the Madera South baseball team was fresh off spoiling Reedley’s Senior Day in its previous game, the Stallions weren’t about to let the Pirates return the favor.
Led by senior catcher Jason Ibrahim, it was the Stallions that celebrated Friday on Eddie Chapa Field in their last regular season home game with a 4-2 win over the Pirates at Madera South.
The defending North Yosemite League champion Stallions (14-14, 10-5) finished second in the conference behind Fresno as Madera South received the No. 11 seed in the Division III playoffs.
