Stallions travel into Sanger for CMAC battle

For the first time in the program’s history, the Madera South football team will travel to Sanger to play in the historic Tom Flores Stadium for a County/Metro Athletic Conference game.

Considered by many to be one of the best atmospheres for a Friday night high school football game in the section, the Stallions (1-7, 0-3 CMAC) will face the Apaches (5-3, 1-2) tonight at 7:30 in the landmark venue named after Sanger native and former legendary Oakland Raiders coach and player Tom Flores.

Madera South head coach Scott Donegan is well aware of the unique facility that generally packs the stands with loyal Sanger followers.

It is also the last place that Donegan coached with his former team, the Chowchilla Redskins in 2005 Div. IV championship game against Immanuel-Reedley...
