FRESNO — The Madera South boys volleyball team’s quest for a North Yosemite League championship didn’t start off right when it faced Hoover-Fresno.
The Stallions, who finished as runner-up in the NYL last season, suffered a 3-0 loss Thursday night to the Patriots in the conference opener at Hoover High.
“Our goal is to win league and Hoover was the first opponent we had to beat,” Madera South head coach Steve Guglielmana said. “Now we just have to focus on the next opponent.”
